Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Premier Group Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for various equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical systems using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, and Creo.
  • Liaise with manufacturing providers to ensure smooth production processes.
  • Be involved in the final assembly of products and ensure quality control.
  • Create technical documentation, project reports, and plans.
  • Update 3D models and drawings as required.
  • Input parts into the MRP system and create BOMs.
  • Check drawings for sign off and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Requirements:
  • HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar Design Engineering / CAD Operation position.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of hydraulics, pipework, water treatment, or similar equipment.
  • Proficient in 3D CAD software and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
