Senior Project Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team, responsible for delivering MEP services on projects with agreed outcomes for time, budget, safety, and quality requirements.

Job Summary:

This is a career-advancing opportunity for a seasoned project manager who has experience in delivering large-scale MEP projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a team of technical and construction professionals, ensuring high-quality delivery while maintaining a focus on time, budget, and safety.

About the Role:
  • You will lead the MEP team on projects, demonstrating professional behavior, providing clear direction, and encouraging compliance with Mace standards.
  • Accountable for the successful delivery of MEP services, including program management, health and safety, quality, and commissioning.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders, forming strong working relationships with clients, consultants, trade contractors, and other team leaders.
  • Lead tendering processes and provide technical and commercial support to bid teams and sector leadership/bid leads.
  • Establish procurement strategies and ensure specialist packages and appointments are procured against agreed scope demarcation and budget.
Responsibilities:
  1. Initial review of contracts and scope, assisting in preparing budgets, value engineering, schedules, and trade contracts.
  2. Support commercial teams throughout the project lifecycle, reviewing progress and resolving issues.
  3. Create and deploy project strategic plans in conjunction with Mace operating framework and strategic priorities.
  4. Oversee design reviews, checking for compliance, coordination, and completeness.
  5. Prepare and coordinate delivery strategies and programs for all phases of the project.
  6. Support commissioning strategies in line with Mace commissioning standards.
  7. Undertake productivity assessments using digital technologies to ensure project/package is on schedule.
  8. Manage project close-out, ensuring completion to a high standard.
  9. Proactively identify risk and produce mitigation plans.
  10. Review issues to drive continuous improvement and provide lessons learned through knowledge share.
Requirements:
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering systems, including design standards and frameworks, installation techniques, best practice, engineering processes, prefabrication, and system commissioning requirements.
  • Proficient knowledge of construction build elements, including sequencing and dependencies.
  • Proficient knowledge of planning processes and management.
  • Advanced knowledge of commercial management.
  • Advanced knowledge of health, safety & welfare core elements.
  • Advanced knowledge of quality assurance process and management.

  • Experience in the relevant construction sector.

Salary:

An estimated annual salary of $120,000 - $150,000 based on industry standards and location.
