Regional Health & Safety Advisor - Suffolk

We are currently recruiting a Regional Health and Safety Advisor for one of the largest Highways maintenance and Street lighting providers in the UK.

As the regional H&S Advisor for Suffolk, you will be part of a high-performing HSE department responsible for providing functional Health, Safety and Wellbeing advice, guidance and coaching to the operational teams across a variety of private and public sector contracts.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Attending planning meetings to ensure HSE arrangements are appropriately considered and integrated.
  • Producing health and safety project reports.
  • Assisting the Project Management team in effective HSE communication.
  • Supporting a culture of open hazard and near miss reporting through engagement with management and operatives and providing advice for positive action and feedback.
  • Reviewing subcontractor risk assessments and method statements.
  • Assisting in the development of policies and procedures.
  • Assisting each project with KPI implementation and compliance.
  • Issuing monthly safety awards on allocated projects as per the project KPIs.
  • Attending Client / Contractor Health and Safety meetings on site.
  • Reviewing and developing Project H&S Plans.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum), ideally diploma qualified or equivalent (or working towards).
  • Previous experience within the Highways maintenance, Infrastructure and/or Construction.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Strong engagement and management skills.

Salary: £46,000-£56,000 + Car allowance + 28 days holiday + BH
