Senior Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist to join our team at Saint-Gobain Interior Solutions in East Leake, Loughborough.
This is a full-time role based onsite 5 days a week, Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week. The successful candidate will be part of our Acoustic and Structures team in the Building Test Centre.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting our commercial clients with their testing needs, including going out to market, speaking with customers, and researching various testing methods.
- Being involved in the implementation of testing methods and figuring out what needs to be done and how.
- Testing within acoustics and structure labs, as well as looking at ways and methods to optimise testing methods.
- Working with our customers to understand their testing needs and providing solutions to meet those needs.
- Conducting UKAS accredited testing and delivering high-quality analysis in a professional manner.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with customers and understand their testing needs.
- Interest in alternative testing methods and continuous improvement/development.
- Experience in a UKAS accredited lab and experience of construction testing, including fire, acoustics, structures, glass, plastering, or similar.
- Education or experience in a science or engineering field.
