Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) professional to lead our food manufacturing site.

This is a hands-on role where you will shape and grow the HSE culture, champion change, and implement new systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HSE management, with experience working within the food or FMCG manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all HSE related activities, including managing EHS standards, leading safety-focused projects, and delivering training.
  • Support and promote a culture of safety through 5S Lean Techniques and ongoing coaching.
  • Manage the site's environmental and health-related activities, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.

About the Role:

This is a standalone position with no direct reports, offering an opportunity for a proactive and organised individual to make a real impact.

You will work closely with the site director and management team to drive initiatives forward, using your leadership, communication, and collaboration skills to achieve success.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in HSE management, ideally within the food/FMCG manufacturing sector.
  • Strong auditing skills, with a NEBOSH National General Certificate (or equivalent) and ideally a NEBOSH Diploma in Health & Safety.
  • Leadership, clear communication, and team collaboration skills that help drive initiatives forward.
  • A proactive and organised approach, with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.

What We Offer:

A competitive salary of £52,000 - £57,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits that reflect our commitment to employee well-being and growth.
