Job Title: Instrumentation Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer to join our team at The Hire Place LLP. As an Instrumentation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, commissioning, and modification of instrumentation projects for our chemical manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conceptualize and design instrumentation projects using CAD software.
  • Carry out modifications and updates of relevant records, following our change-management system.
  • Creation and updating of drawings and diagrams, including loop drawings, P&IDs, I/O lists, equipment schedules, and network diagrams.
  • Continuous Improvement activities and Planned Maintenance.
Requirements:
  • A strong background and in-depth knowledge of instrumentation relating to the chemical manufacturing process or related industrial processes.
  • A minimum 'Higher' qualification (HNC/HND, Degree) related to the role.
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role with clear project-based knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge of H&S/HSE requirements and understanding of DSEAR/ATEX regulations.
  • Attention to detail and clear communication skills (verbal and written).
Benefits:
  • Salary up to £55,000.
  • Hours: Monday – Friday 08.00 – 16.30.
