Key Responsibilities:- Identify and manage risks associated with equipment on site, including updating drawings, identifying critical spares, and implementing preventative maintenance programs.
- Utilize new equipment and technologies to maintain a working production environment, collaborating with clients on requests for machinery PPMs.
- Provide electrical and mechanical expertise to the maintenance department, working on heavy industrial machines and overhead cranes.
- Develop and follow risk assessments, addressing any issues that arise from them safely and accurately.
- Work on motors, gearboxes, and valves encompassing hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Use mobile devices to accurately project and complete works from the CAFM maintenance system.
- Liaise with onsite site services to manage building services-related issues, responding confidently and accurately as required.
- Act as the responsible person for the department, deputizing the shift leader during annual leave or sickness.
- Work overtime as required by the business, which may include nights and weekends with little notice.
- Perform ad hoc duties as required.
Requirements:
- Strong proven experience in manufacturing maintenance.
- Electrical competences/qualifications to a minimum or equivalent to City and Guilds 236 Pt 1-2 electrical qualifications to 17th Edition.
- Mechanical competences/qualifications to an acceptable standard to City and Guild's mechanical.
- Good multi-skilled ability.
- PLC diagnostics/repair competencies.
- NVQ qualifications to Level 2, electrical and mechanical.
- Ability to supervise contractors.
- Able to write risk and method statements.
- IPAF.
- Experience of heavy engineering.
