Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Team Leader to join our team at Superdrug. As a key member of our Transport function, you will be responsible for leading a nominated team and ensuring all processes are carried out to the specified standards required.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of colleagues to ensure daily transport operations are carried out efficiently and safely.
  • Manage ad-hoc requests to meet business requirements and ensure deliveries are made on time and in full.
  • Motivate, coach, and develop team members to perform their duties in a knowledgeable, efficient, and safe manner.
  • Take ownership of people management issues for permanent staff within your area of responsibility.
  • Monitor and report on weekly performance metrics, including compliance, delivery performance, cost, KPI performance, and shrinkage.
  • Collaborate with other team leaders and departments to support overall performance and provide a seamless shift handover.
Key Performance Indicators
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and vehicle maintenance requirements.
  • Meet or exceed delivery performance targets and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Manage costs and maintain a high level of efficiency within the transport function.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce shrinkage.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a transport or logistics function.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to drive business performance.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and teams to achieve business objectives.
