Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to support our KS1 class in a thriving primary school. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education and contributing to the development and well-being of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Class Teacher: Assist in planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Individual and Small Group Support: Provide targeted support to students to enhance their learning, helping to bridge any gaps in their understanding.
  • Classroom Management: Assist with maintaining a safe and orderly learning environment, promoting positive behavior and minimizing disruptions.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Contribute to the assessment of student progress, providing constructive feedback to the class teacher to inform future planning.
  • Special Educational Needs: Support students with special educational needs, ensuring they have access to the curriculum and receive the necessary accommodations.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the class teacher and school as needed, ensuring the smooth operation of the classroom.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications and Experience: Relevant qualifications or experience in supporting teaching and learning in a primary school setting.
  • Curriculum Knowledge: A strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and the wider school community.
