Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial electrical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, ensuring timely and efficient resolution.
  • Work on industrial automation systems, including PLCs, drives, and control systems.
  • Conduct electrical inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, technicians, and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety guidelines.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician, with a focus on industrial automation systems.
  • Ability to install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and automation equipment.
  • Electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, or equivalent).
  • Experience working in industrial settings, such as manufacturing, automotive, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, and instrumentation.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • JIB Card (beneficial but not essential).
  • Familiarity with Sunderland industrial sites or experience in similar regional projects.

Additional Information:

This contract is outside of IR35, so you can work through your Ltd company or via an Umbrella company. 50 hours per week guaranteed, with the possibility of additional overtime depending on project demands.
