About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our outpatient pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in providing an efficient and effective service to patients and healthcare staff.
Main Responsibilities
Key duties will include:
- Dispensing medicines for outpatients and patients attending Accident & Emergency under the general direction of a pharmacy technician or pharmacist.
- Maintaining the Pharmacy Reception and Counter areas, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for customers.
- Providing patients and healthcare staff with an efficient and co-operative service, responding directly to their needs or referring to appropriate staff members.
- Selling 'Pharmacy only' and General Sale List medicines to patients under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, using appropriate questioning to ensure safe use.
- Ensuring prescription documentation is maintained and stored appropriately in accordance with the law and policies.
