Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Lead to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board.

This role will require a highly skilled and experienced nurse to provide leadership, support, and guidance to our team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in our Oncology and Haematology ward.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of nurses, providing expert clinical advice, and undertaking management and monitoring activities in line with legal and professional requirements.

Main Duties of the Job

Professional:

Practice at all times within the Nursing and Midwifery Council Code of Professional Conduct.

Develop the role by using evidence-based practice and continuously improve own knowledge.

Clinical:

Responsible for the safe delivery of all aspects of SACT administration.

Work within and monitor standards of care within the defined policies, procedures, standards, and protocols of the Ward, Directorate, and Division.

Maintain effective communications with patients, relatives, and other members of the multidisciplinary team.

About Us

Cancer Services for people living within South West Wales are provided by the South West Wales Cancer Centre, based at Singleton Hospital, Swansea Bay University Health Board.

Patients treated at the Cancer Centre come from the Swansea, Neath Port-Talbot areas, and Hywel Dda University Health Board, some patients from the Bridgend area are also treated at the Centre.
