Main Responsibilities- Support patients with mental health needs, working collaboratively with the team to develop and implement care plans.
- Use your specialist knowledge and skills to identify and detail deterioration or improvements in patient mental health, escalating concerns to relevant teams as necessary.
- Assist in the management of clinical emergencies under the direction of the nurse in charge.
- Work as part of the multi-disciplinary team, providing care to patients with physical needs.
- Administer medication in accordance with local protocols and the NMC Scope of Professional Practice.
- Ensure patients in mental health crisis who require admission are reviewed and appropriate risk assessments are completed.
- Provide therapeutic 1:1 nursing care to patients with mental health-related issues.
