Van Delivery Driver Role

We are currently recruiting for a Van Delivery Driver to join our client based in Birchwood, Cheshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great benefits and room to grow and progress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive various delivery vans to multiple delivery locations in a safe and efficient manner
  • Perform pre-trip and post trip inspections of vehicles
  • Ensure delivery vans are loaded safely and securely
  • Use and operate a hand scanner/PDA
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
  • Communicate effectively with Dispatch and customers
  • Maintain accurate records of shipment, mileage and fuel consumption
  • Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management

Requirements

  • Hold a valid UK License
  • No more than six penalty points and no major endorsement codes
  • Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to speak/read a certain level of English
  • Flexibility and ability to work overtime as and when required
  • Ability to work under pressure and to adhere to business KPI's
