Job Overview

The Medical Equipment Department at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled and experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician to join their Equipment Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing engineering support and assistance in the delivery of high-quality equipment management within the trust.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and maintenance for complex medical equipment, including monitoring, diagnostic, and surgical systems.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance schedules and asset management systems.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective medical equipment support to various wards and departments of the trust.
  • Support the team in providing best practice solutions to planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and equipment asset management.
Person Specification
  • Electronic engineering NVQ 4 minimum.
  • Good awareness of health & safety legislation relating to electronic equipment testing.
  • Completion of a structured training programme in electro-mechanical engineering for a minimum of three years.
  • Good communication skills and ability to self-manage and work without supervision.
