Electronic Warfare Expert

Onyx-Conseil seeks an Advanced Sensor Engineer to join our team in designing, developing, and integrating advanced electronic warfare systems for critical applications.

Job Summary:

This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and contribute to the delivery of high-performance electronic warfare solutions that meet the challenging requirements of the aerospace and defence industries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and integrate electronic warfare systems and subsystems, including hardware and software components.
  • Conduct performance analysis, modelling, and simulation of electronic warfare systems to ensure optimal design and operation.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to define system requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Evaluate and mitigate electronic warfare system vulnerabilities, including electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electronic countermeasures (ECM).
  • Support testing, validation, and troubleshooting of electronic warfare systems in laboratory and field environments.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in electronic warfare technology and contribute to research and development activities.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Electronic Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in electronic warfare system design, development, or integration within the aerospace or defence sector.
  • Strong understanding of electronics principles, including waveform design, Doppler processing, and clutter suppression.
  • Proficiency in tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, or similar for modelling and simulation.
  • Knowledge of radio frequency (RF) and microwave engineering, including antenna design and signal processing.
  • Experience with electronic test equipment such as spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes, and network analysers.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical and analytical approach.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and collaboration.
