Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer Opportunity

Location: Speke / Halewood
Contract: 12 Month FTC
Salary: £59,000
Shift: Double Days

We are seeking a highly skilled Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team in the Halewood / Speke area on a 12 Month FTC with the potential to progress to permanent. This role offers the opportunity to work for a true independent market leader and established global brand. With progressive training and development, this role allows potential promotion in the longer term.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Plan and execute maintenance activities to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
  2. Collaborate with the Engineering team to improve average time between failures and average time to repair.
  3. Utilize Pirana CMMS to develop and deliver Preventative Maintenance Schedules and log all work undertaken.
  4. Liaise with production teams to improve professional standards of machinery and ensure continued production.
  5. Liaise with contractors as required, ensuring adherence to Health and Safety standards and supporting a safety culture across site.
  6. Support the management and maintenance supply of spares.
  7. Maintain housekeeping through IPS disciplines.
  8. Contribute to continuous improvement activities (waste walk actions, Kaizen etc.) throughout the Plant.
  9. Assist with projects as requested by management, providing maintenance and installation support.
  10. Work with the Facilities Department to enhance understanding of all plant-based equipment and systems.
Requirements
  1. Time-served Engineer, to HND / degree level with a strong Multi-Skilled skillset.
  2. Proven experience of maintenance in a high volume, highly regulated environment, working individually and within a team.
  3. Proven experience in dealing with complex manufacturing equipment (welding, fabrication, automated assembly) including robot programming and PLC interrogation.
  4. Knowledge of DC tooling, Barcode Scanning, Material handling, Electrical testing, and Vision systems advantageous.
  5. Plastic welding - Heat Stake and Ultrasonic advantageous.
