**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at Chubb. As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP.
  • Assist in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Planning & Analysis team to manage expectations and ensure accurate US GAAP numbers.
  • Implement US GAAP changes locally as directed by management.
  • Own the approval and sign-off on balance sheet reconciliations and ongoing analysis/investigation for aged items.
  • Prepare financial documents under IFRS/UK GAAP.
  • Assist with the monthly payroll process for EMEA, ensuring accurate bookings and confidentiality.
  • Manage the production and approval of Peoplesoft journals associated with all applicable procedures.
  • Lead continuous improvement in workflows, seeking to maximize efficiency and timeliness of reporting.
  • Be a key point of contact for multiple stakeholders across the business and the finance function.
  • Project work and investigative accounting as required.

**Requirements:**

  • Qualified Accountant (CA/ACCA/CIMA) with working experience.
  • Accounting and reporting experience, including knowledge of technical and general accounting.
  • Experience of coordinating technical processes within tight timescales.
  • Able to adapt communication style to liaise with employees at all levels within the organization.
  • Knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP is desirable.
  • Experience of US GAAP reporting in a multi-national environment is desirable.
