Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Ecology Office Team Leader to join our dynamic and friendly team. As a key member of our ecology team, you will be responsible for planning workload, career and personal development of the team, resourcing, wellbeing and overseeing technical quality.

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in a related discipline and be a member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management. They will also have experience of staff management, a passion for developing and mentoring individuals, and a proven record of supporting clients through devising and delivering survey programmes.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for producing/inputting to tenders in support of our clients' projects, providing site- and office-based support to develop and mentor junior team members, and liaising with other disciplines within WSP to expand the awareness of, and engagement with, the Scotland ecology teams.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Plan workload, career and personal development of the team, resourcing, wellbeing and oversee technical quality.
  2. Produce/input tenders in support of our clients' projects.
  3. Provide site- and office-based support to develop and mentor junior team members.
  4. Liaise with other disciplines within WSP to expand the awareness of, and engagement with, the Scotland ecology teams.
Requirements
  1. Appropriate academic qualification in a related discipline and membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management.
  2. Experience of staff management and a passion for developing and mentoring individuals.
  3. Proven record of supporting clients through devising and delivering survey programmes.
