Job Title: Lift Systems Technician

Estimated Salary: £42,000 - £58,000 per annum

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Lift Systems Technician to join our team in Newcastle. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of lifts to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance and Repair:
    • Perform routine maintenance on lifts to ensure optimal performance.
    • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults in lifts.
    • Respond promptly to emergency call-outs and perform necessary repairs.
    • Ensure all repairs and maintenance are carried out to industry standards.
  • Inspections and Testing:
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and tests on lifts.
    • Ensure all lift components are in good working condition and comply with safety regulations.
    • Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and repairs.
  • Customer Service:
    • Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with clients.
    • Address client concerns and queries promptly and professionally.
    • Advise clients on necessary repairs and maintenance schedules.
  • Compliance and Documentation:
    • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with health and safety regulations.
    • Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
    • Prepare and submit reports as required by management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as a Lift Systems Technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of lift systems, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering or equivalent).
  • CSCS card or equivalent health and safety certification.
  • Valid UK driving license.
