Job Title: Specialist (Rotational) Frailty Physiotherapist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Specialist (Rotational) Frailty Physiotherapist to join our team at Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality physiotherapy services to patients with frailty, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols to improve patient outcomes.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and develop strategies for improving patient flow and reducing hospital admissions.
  • Provide education and training to junior staff members on physiotherapy techniques and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of clinical audit and research projects to improve patient care and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Eligibility for GMC registration and valid GMC registration.
  • Basic Medical Qualification and completion of foundation training.
  • MRCS or equivalent – Part A.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the service.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience of teaching clinical skills to under-graduates.
  • Experience of NHS clinical governance.
  • Publications in peer-reviewed journals and recent involvement in research.
  • Computer/IT research skills and ability to perform flexible cystoscopy independently.
