Senior Software Engineer

CME Technology and Support Services Ltd is a leading provider of electronic trading, post-trade processing, and risk management systems. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Belfast.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a next-generation trading platform that enables professional traders to deal in foreign exchange markets. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing features and fixes using Java, cloud, and automation technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of the Order Entry API
  • Collaborate with the EBS Workstation Team to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Design and develop robust and maintainable software solutions
  • Participate in code reviews and identify potential issues and defects
  • Mentor and support the growth of engineering talent
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Strong knowledge of core Java skills and experience with Spring Boot
  • Experience in working with RDBMS and ability to write clean, bug-free code
  • Desirable: experience in coding in a story-driven Agile environment, working in financial services/exchange space, and using BDD methodologies and automated acceptance criteria
