Thrive Recruitment Group Plymouth is currently recruiting for a highly motivated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work with male students with Special Educational Needs in Okehampton. This is a full-time, temporary to permanent contract offering a competitive salary of £100 per day.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with students who have Education & Health Care Plans (EHCPS) with primarily Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs. They will also have experience in providing individualized support to students with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Conditions, Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), attachment difficulties and Speech, Language and Communication Needs.

  • Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience in working with students with complex needs.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A patient and empathetic approach.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing one-on-one and group support to male students with SEN, assisting the class teacher with lesson planning and classroom management, and implementing personalized education and support plans. You will also collaborate with teaching staff, therapists, and parents to monitor and report on student progress.
