Job Title: Associate Director - Transport Planner

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Director Transport Planner to lead our team in the UK. As an Associate Director, you will be responsible for leading work-winning efforts with established clients, managing a small team, and delivering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technically challenging transport planning projects with a focus on development sector projects.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and statutory consultees to resolve transport issues and advise clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with the UK transport planning industry and planning system.
  • Apply knowledge of design guides such as Manual for Streets and DMRB.
  • Utilize junction modeling software effectively.
  • Develop and maintain excellent written, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Lead teams and undertake projects with minimal supervision.
  • Bonus: Experience as an Expert Witness is beneficial.

Requirements:

  • Management and development of the Transportation team.
  • Design project management, coordination, and client liaison.
  • Review and approval of design calculations, drawings, and outputs.
  • Collaboration with engineers and technicians to deliver quality reports.
  • Business development, networking, and client relationship management.
  • Mentoring and supervision of Transport planning apprentices, technicians, and engineers.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Site visits and meetings with team, clients, and suppliers.
