Fire and Security Engineer Opportunity

Our client, a reputable fire and security solutions provider in Yorkshire, is seeking a skilled Fire and Security Engineer to join their team. With a strong reputation for delivering exceptional service, they pride themselves on providing top-notch fire and security solutions to their clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm, security, CCTV, and emergency lighting systems
  • Respond to maintenance calls, troubleshoot faults, and repair non-functioning fire alarms and restore them to original functionality or replace them if necessary
  • Undertake preventative care and regular maintenance to prevent system malfunctions and perform system and device upgrades/modifications
Requirements
  • Experience with manufacturers such as GENT Kentec, CTEC, Morley, Advanced Electronics, Ziton, Hochiki, Apollo, and Xtralis
  • Ability to work orders quickly and efficiently, provide excellent customer service, and possess solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work evening or weekend shifts as schedules can be unpredictable
  • Demonstrate maintenance or testing background of fire alarm systems
  • Basic computer skills and IPAF CSCS Card
  • Knowledge of BS5839-1, BS5839-6, and BS5266
  • Fire alarm installation and repair experience, as well as cause and effect programming experience
