The Post:

We are the leading provider of Data Services and Advanced Analytics within the public sector in Scotland. The Data and Analytics Service is a dedicated team of professionals that design, develop, and support integrated data and analytical platforms for NHSScotland. Our work underpins Scotland's reputation as a world leader in health informatics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and building innovative data, business intelligence, and analytics solutions.
  • Assisting in the technical analysis of requirements and specifications.
  • Building complex data processing and data wrangling routines.
  • Building enterprise-wide business intelligence front-end solutions.
  • Proactively contributing to service improvement.
  • Engagement with users and colleagues across the business intelligence team.

The Ideal Candidate:

You will bring the following to the team:

  • Initial experience of, or training in, implementing innovative data, business intelligence, and analytics solutions.
  • Knowledge of building data products (including ETL/ELT).
  • Writing and management of code for the analysis and processing of data.
  • Communication skills – ability to document your work, and share your findings with the team.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Passion to make a difference.
  • Desire to excel within a high-performing team.
  • Appetite for lifelong learning and growth.
  • Willingness and motivation to contribute to overall success of the service.

Working Arrangements:

We offer a hybrid working arrangement, with the option to work from our offices in Gyle Square, Edinburgh or Delta House, Glasgow. Our standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week.
