**Job Summary**

The Peninsula London is seeking a skilled Junior Technician to join our team. As a Junior Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting our engineers, technicians, and other departments in maintaining and repairing all mechanical and electrical equipment, fixtures, and fittings throughout the hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that engineering maintenance requests are carried out in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to established policies and procedures, maintenance programs, and operational schedules.
  • Participate in daily team pre-shift briefings to ensure seamless communication and optimal operating performance.
  • Closely monitor and control all operating parameters of guest rooms and public area building services systems to ensure high efficiency of utilization and report any deviations to the Director of Engineering or Assistant Director of Engineering.
  • Cooperate and coordinate with engineers and external contractors as necessary, and interact with other departments to provide additional or specialized guest services.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within a similar environment.
  • Trade certification or NVQ level Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Good understanding of building services and relevant rules and regulations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Good problem-solving skills, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Fluent English communication proficiency.
  • This position requires the fulfillment of night shift duties based on the operational needs of the business.
