Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Electrical Systems Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading electrical systems maintenance and improvement initiatives, ensuring plant availability and performance.

Your primary goal will be to optimise plant performance in collaboration with line managers, allocating resources and materials effectively to meet maintenance schedules on each shift.

You should have a solid practical background in electrical engineering, with relevant experience in a supervisory role. You will be expected to manage staff training and development to create a safety-conscious and technically competent workforce.

As the key electrical expert for the team, you will lead initiatives to improve engineering practices and plant performance, preparing and submitting proposals to ensure plant availability and performance improvements.

Responsibilities
  • Determine and set electrical priorities to optimise plant performance in collaboration with line managers.
  • Ensure all electrical activities meet health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Allocate resources and materials effectively to meet maintenance schedules on each shift.
  • Monitor electrical teams and contractors to ensure work is carried out to plan.
  • Manage staff training and development to create a safety-conscious and technically competent workforce.
  • Lead initiatives to improve electrical systems and plant performance, serving as the key electrical expert for the team.
Requirements
  • A strong practical background in electrical engineering, with relevant experience in a supervisory role.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to allocate resources and materials effectively to meet maintenance schedules.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety and safe systems of work, design of electrical systems, PLCs and SCADA systems, digital drives and motor control, distribution systems and switching, electronic systems such as load cells and tensiometers.
Benefits

We offer a market competitive salary, 35 days holidays per annum, annual pay review, bonus scheme (subject to business performance), private healthcare scheme (individual cover), and one of the UK's leading defined contribution pension schemes (10% employer contribution / 6% employee contribution).

Estimated Salary Range:

£44,000 - £52,000 per annum, depending on experience.
