MMT Development Specialist

Sensata Technologies is a global industrial technology company striving to create a cleaner, more efficient, electrified and connected world.
The successful candidate will complete a structured development programme leading to NVQ Level 3 Manufacturing Engineering and a Higher National Certificate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering through Northern Regional College Ballymena.
This is a 4-year programme.
Reporting to the Day Lead Technician, the successful candidate will be trained extensively in fully automated production equipment including:
- Electrical and Mechanical practices
- Pneumatics
- PLC control
- Robotics
The successful candidate will eventually provide technical support to Manufacturing and ensure the optimum performance of equipment and technical issues.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing breakdown and preventative maintenance
- Contributing to the overall team/departmental strategy
- Staying up-to-date with the latest innovations and developments
- Ensuring compliance with company and statutory requirements
- Participating in the day-to-day activities of the team and working effectively as a team member to ensure continuous improvement
- Meeting performance measures and KPI's set for you and your team
- Communicating in a timely and effective manner with members of your team and other parts of the business
- Participating in training opportunities
Essential qualifications include:
- 4 GCSE's Grade C's including Maths and English and at least one Science Subject
Desirable qualifications include:
- BTEC Level 3 in an Engineering discipline or equivalent
Typical skills required include:
- Demonstrating Electrical/Electronic knowledge/interest in basic Mechanical skills
- Strong Communication and Organization skills
- Ability to show a genuine interest in learning and development
