About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team at Carbon60. As a key member of our Project Delivery Team, you will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of Solar and Battery projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on budget, and on time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Engagement: Foster a positive safety culture among team members and stakeholders, promoting a culture of safety, health, environment, and wellbeing.
  • Project Delivery: Accountable for the construction delivery of large capital projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Operational Readiness: Ensure projects are operational ready through effective engagement with relevant business departments.
  • Cost Management: Review and input significant construction costs, risk mitigation, operability, and deliverability programmes of projects in early development and acquisition stages.
  • Governance Management: Accountable for the effective governance management of projects within your portfolio.
  • Stakeholder Management: Interface directly with and report indirectly to senior stakeholders up to Executive Director level, challenging where required and promoting professional integrity.
  • Procurement and Commercial: Provide direction to the Procurement and Commercial teams to input into contract requirements that support a level of risk acceptable to the business.
  • Financial Management: Accountable for the developing and managing the construction portfolio of relevant projects finances effectively, ensuring accurate forecasting, financial reporting, and project spend management.
  • Technical Expertise: Maintain and develop technical expertise and knowledge in Solar and Battery technologies, surpassing that of junior team members in your relevant sector.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable record of accomplishment of delivering large, complex projects (over £30-50m in value) preferably in the Energy sector.
  • Extensive experience in enacting senior leadership roles in the delivery of complex projects in the energy industry.
  • Demonstrable experience of working under commercial contract frameworks such as NEC3/4, FIDIC etc.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with partners, customers, and key stakeholders at all levels.
  • A full driving licence is required due to the nature of the role.
