Learning and Development Specialist

The Learning and Development Adviser will be responsible for designing and facilitating a range of learning opportunities, including workshops, action learning sets, and peer support sessions. The focus will be on people management skills and applying HR policy into practice.
Key Responsibilities- Design and facilitate workshops and interventions, focusing on managers' experiences of putting HR policy into practice.
- Market these workshops to ensure good uptake throughout the management community.
- Evaluate the impact of these workshops and adjust them where necessary based on feedback.
- Provide reports on progress with the target audience.
- Occasionally provide 1:1 support to managers, using coaching skills and specialist guidance to help them move forward.
- Work closely with HR colleagues on cases such as capability, probation, grievances, investigations, and conflict.
- Travel around the UK, approximately once a month.
- Good understanding of employee relations processes and ACAS best practices.
- Able to facilitate a variety of learning events, including workshops, peer support sessions, and action learning sets.
- Experience in facilitated conversations and working with managers to support HR cases.
- Experience in leading on all elements of the learning design cycle, from needs analysis to evaluation.
- Able to create a blend of learning products that are accessible, equitable, and inclusive.
- Knowledge of workplace mediation.
- Experience in creating and designing engaging self-learning products.
- Experience of supporting managers working with staff and volunteers together.
