Contract Length: 5-month rolling
Job Overview:
Salt Search is seeking skilled IT Engineers to support the delivery of a new technology operating model within GP practices across Sussex. As part of two teams, each comprising three engineers, you will ensure the smooth setup and implementation of IT infrastructure across various sites.
This project involves conducting site audits, implementing new IT equipment, reconfiguring existing systems, and providing post-implementation support. Your role will be essential in streamlining IT equipment and enhancing the overall performance of the technology in use.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Audits:
- Conduct detailed audits of existing personal computing equipment in GP practices (1-2 days per practice).
- Create and submit site audit reports, detailing current IT infrastructure, to support streamlining decisions.
- Each site typically has between 20-150 PCs, with a mixture of desktops and laptops (with or without docking stations).
- Collect new IT equipment from designated storage locations across Sussex.
- Install and configure existing and new IT equipment according to the project requirements.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need strong technical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
