About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Wind Tunnel R&D Engineer with strong mechanical engineering skills to join our Aerodynamics Technology Development group.

The group's remit is research and development of tools for aerodynamics development. In this role, you will be an integral part of our multi-disciplinary design team, involved in a variety of innovative and cutting-edge projects primarily for our state-of-the-art wind tunnel model and facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement mechanical solutions for aerodynamics development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and test wind tunnel models
  • Design and develop hydraulic systems and servo control systems
  • Work with CAD software (Siemens NX) to design and query models
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues in wind tunnel models

Requirements

  • Good mechanical understanding with a hands-on approach
  • Experience with hydraulic systems and servo control systems
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines within a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of motorsport data acquisition systems
