About this Opportunity

We are looking for a highly skilled Building Surveyor/Senior Surveyor to join our team at NHBC. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for assessing Building Control and warranty applications, negotiating with developers and builders, and providing expert advice on regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess Building Control and warranty applications for residential developments and associated non-residential uses
  • Negotiate with developers, builders, and their professional advisors to ensure proposals meet regulations and standards
  • Co-ordinate Building Control inspections, issue Final Certificates, and resolve problems relating to Initial Notices/Final certification

Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of Building Regulations, building technology, and technical training
  • Experience with structural defects and related claims, engineering, NHBC Standards, and site inspection
  • Substantial knowledge of the housing and commercial sectors, including building pathology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information to internal/external audiences
  • A proactive approach, self-motivation, and a willingness to develop your role

Estimated Salary:

£45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience
