Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Legal Director to join our team at QED Legal. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and supporting our legal department, providing expert legal advice, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the legal department in providing high-quality legal advice and services to our clients.
  • Draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts and agreements, ensuring that they are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide effective legal advice and guidance to our clients, ensuring that they are aware of their legal obligations and risks.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across our organization, including our business teams and external counsel law firms.
  • Work closely with our business teams to develop strategies and solutions to complex legal issues.
  • Manage and develop a team of lawyers, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are equipped to provide high-quality legal services.

Requirements

  • An English qualified solicitor with at least 7 years' post-qualified experience.
  • Profound knowledge of public procurement law in the UK, with experience of advising on complex procurement issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • A commercial and business-oriented approach to legal advice, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
