Job Opportunity: Factory Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Factory Engineer to join our team at Rotosound. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of our bespoke string winding machines and other equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair machinery to ensure optimal performance
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns
  • Operate lathes, milling machines, and grinders for fabrication of machine parts
  • Assist with ad-hoc duties around the building

Requirements:

  • General workshop experience and tool room knowledge
  • Operating experience with lathes, milling machines, and grinders
  • Electronics experience with drive systems and automation (desirable)
  • HNC/D or similar qualification in mechanical and production engineering (desirable)

Working Conditions:

  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am – 4.45pm
  • 15-minute morning and afternoon tea breaks and 45-minute lunch
  • 28 days' holiday per annum inclusive of public and bank holidays

Location:

The Rotosound factory is located in the market town of Sevenoaks in Kent, within walking distance of the train station and close to the M25 and M26 motorways.
