The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to plan and stay one step ahead, and a client-focused approach. They will be responsible for attending multiple sites to oversee, monitor, and evaluate health and safety standards, and will work closely with the Health and Safety leadership team.
The role requires a technically aware team player with experience providing health and safety support in the construction and building services sectors. The successful candidate will have effective communication skills at all levels, with client-facing experience and IT literacy. Proficient report writing skills are also essential.
The company offers a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000, flexible working arrangements, additional holidays, and a range of benefits including an enhanced pension, health cash plan, and employee wellness programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with client H&S Manager and others in the client team
- Attend client H&S meetings
- Support site team on all H&S aspects
- Review safe systems of work
- Attend and advise during safe start meetings
- Manage day to day H&S activities on site
- Conduct workplace inspections and report findings
- Conduct investigations into accidents or incidents
Desirable Qualifications:
- H&S experience within the fit out sector
