About the Role

We are seeking an experienced NPD Project Manager to join our team at Northwood, a leading paper product manufacturer. As a key member of our innovation team, you will play a vital role in driving the end-to-end new product development process, from research and innovation to production trials and continuous development.

You will be working closely with our design team, suppliers, and customers to create innovative and exciting product proposals, from conception to 3D modeling. Your expertise in packaging materials, products, and processes will be essential in driving innovation, improving efficiency, and reducing environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead new product development projects from concept to launch, owning the end-to-end process.
  • Develop and implement project plans with clearly identified critical paths, check points, and sign-offs.
  • Chair NPD meetings and maintain effective communication across the business and to all departments.
  • Manage the NPD budget and ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders to drive innovation and improve product offerings.
  • Regularly review packaging materials, products, and processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing and technical environment, with a strong understanding of packaging materials and processes.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel.
  • Understanding of BRC and other customer COPS.
  • Desirable: line management experience, 2+ years of manufacturing experience in a technical/NPD area, knowledge of specifications and customer portals.
