English Tutor Job Description

We are seeking a skilled English tutor to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As an English tutor, you will work with children who require additional support in English, potentially with Special Education Needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, nurturing sessions to support children's English development.
  • Work with children who may have ASD, SEMH, or PMLD, providing face-to-face support in their homes, care homes, or local areas.
  • Develop resources tailored to each child's needs, focusing on English knowledge and skills.
  • Manage behavior and implement strategies to ensure children remain engaged and motivated.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to parents and carers.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with Special Education Needs, preferably as a teaching assistant or one-to-one tutor.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging sessions that cater to individual needs.
  • Skills in managing behavior and implementing strategies to support children's learning.
  • Experience working with children with challenging behavior.
  • Ability to provide feedback and monitor progress.
