Female Care Assistants - Darlington
Bank positions available
Waking hours - £12.00 - £13.00 per hour
Sleeping night rate - £11.44 per hour
Flexibility required - 24/7 care including sleeping nights and weekend shifts
CCMS is dedicated to delivering excellent support to all our clients and their families, putting their thoughts and expectations at the heart of everything we do.
We are proud to offer specialized case management services for adults and children recovering from acquired or traumatic brain injuries, spinal or catastrophic injuries, and associated disabilities or conditions.
Bank Female Care Assistants are required to join our well-established, directly employed care team, providing 24-hour care to a male in his 70s with a severe brain injury, living in his own home in the Darlington area.
The care package includes a combination of 2:1 and 1:1 care, aiming to maximize the client's quality of life by facilitating engagement in activities of daily living, hobbies, and accessing the community.
The role includes assistance with personal care tasks.
Applicants should be creative, patient, emotionally resilient, and have a good sense of humour.
The client displays challenging behaviour, therefore, previous care experience is essential, and a calm and confident demeanor is required.
We are seeking personal assistants who may have similar interests to the client, such as music, arts and crafts, and the outdoors, however, this is not essential.
Due to the nature of the client's behaviours, only female applicants are invited to apply.
Successful applicants will receive support, training, and supervision from the team Senior and Case Manager.
Driver with full UK License essential.
About you:
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Experience of delivering therapy programmes is desirable but full training will be provided.
- Dependable and professional - you value honesty and discretion
- Previous experience working with clients with brain injury is preferable
- Friendly and approachable
- Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS and enrol in the DBS update service
- Flexible and you work well under pressure
CCMS is not an employment agency, we help our clients to recruit their own support workers as part of our case management service, You will be employed directly by the client, however, CCMS oversee all aspects of the clients care package on her behalf.
CCMS offer a bespoke Case Management Service for people of all ages, with a particular emphasis on those recovering from acquired brain injuries.
Ultimately, our aim is to empower and support people to reach their full potential and maximize their rehabilitation opportunities in order to promote the best quality of life.
Please note we are recruiting Female Support Workers due to a genuine occupational requirement of the person we support therefore this role is exempt from the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9
