About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Elysium Healthcare. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in the management of complex mental health cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical input to inpatients in specialist rehabilitation services or acute psychiatric wards
  • Assess new referrals to ensure that the service meets the needs of those who are admitted
  • Provide leadership to the clinical team and contribute to clinical governance and service development
  • Maintain good relationships with external agencies such as community teams and commissioning bodies
  • Contribute to the training and education of junior staff
Requirements
  • Hold MRCPsych or equivalent
  • CCT in general adult psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, psychiatry of LD or medical psychotherapy is preferred
  • Full GMC registration and to have had an appraisal within the 12 months
  • Section approval and AC status
  • Experience of working within an MDT in providing care for patients with complex needs
