About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Risk Manager to join our Site Solutions team in the UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing and managing contaminated land investigations, risk assessments, and remediation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead contaminated land investigations, risk assessments, and remediation projects.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in Ground Engineering, Structures, and Transport departments to deliver multi-disciplinary services to clients.
  • Develop and manage client relationships, with a focus on expanding our services to new markets.
  • Manage and mentor early career professionals, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their roles.
  • Oversee financial management and direction of contaminated land projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Contribute to business development and financial goals, identifying new opportunities and developing strategies to achieve them.
  • Provide senior governance and duties in accordance with Ramboll's competency and governance frameworks.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Risk Manager who can bring their expertise to our team. To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in environmental sciences, environmental engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in project management, with a focus on contaminated land investigations and remediation.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Financial and technical project management experience, with a focus on delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Experience working with buildings and infrastructure development teams, with a focus on RIBA stages.
  • Proactive and responsible leadership, with the ability to manage workload, deliverables, and resources across multiple projects.
