Primary School Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our primary school team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality lessons and contributing to the academic and personal development of our students.
Key Responsibilities:- Supporting class teachers in delivering lessons across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
- Planning and delivering small group interventions and 1:1 support sessions to raise student achievement.
- Covering whole classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring smooth lesson delivery.
- Assisting with the development of resources and tailored learning activities.
- Supporting pupils with additional needs, including those with EHCPs.
- Helping to maintain a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
- Contributing to the wider school community, including school events and extracurricular activities.
- HLTA qualification or equivalent is essential.
- Proven experience working in a primary school setting, preferably within Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2.
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and the ability to differentiate tasks to meet a range of learning needs.
- Ability to work independently to plan and deliver lessons for small groups and whole classes.
- A passion for education and a commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive environment for all pupils.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team and demonstrate initiative when required.
- Experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) is desirable but not essential.
