Job Title: Porter and Support Staff

We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Porter and Support Staff member. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive environment, assisting our patients, visitors, and colleagues.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing logistical support to our hospital, ensuring that our patients and staff have access to necessary resources and services.

This is a full-time role, working 30 hours per week, 6 hours a day, 5 days a week, including weekends and bank holidays. You will be required to work shifts between 6am and 8pm.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is £20,255 - £22,121 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to your salary, you will receive 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays, rising to 29 days after 5 years and 33 days after 10 years. Other benefits include cycle to work scheme, salary sacrifice car scheme, and Blue Light Card Discounts.

You will also be entitled to pay enhancements of 30% for evenings (8pm onwards) and Saturdays, and 60% for Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Requirements:
  • A desire to work in a mental health hospital environment.
  • Previous experience using cleaning equipment.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Willingness to learn new skills.
  • Ability to work as a team or independently.
  • Flexibility to work shifts.
  • Awareness of national cleaning standards.
