Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Cultivations Tractor Driver to join our team at Agrial Fresh Farms in Colchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out cultivations for outdoor cropping, including primary and secondary cultivations, as well as the application of slug pellets and herbicides.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading producer of pre-packed, ready-to-eat fresh salad bags and bowls. As a Cultivations Tractor Driver, you will play a key role in ensuring the high-quality production of our crops.

Main Responsibilities

  • To carry out cultivations for outdoor cropping, including primary and secondary cultivations and the application of slug pellets and herbicides.
  • To drive and maintain tractors, cultivation equipment, and other agricultural machinery safely and efficiently.
  • To operate farm tractors and machinery with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • To conduct daily routine checks on vehicles to ensure they are safe to operate and report any faults to the Growing Manager.
  • To ensure health and safety is always adhered to and report any incidents or accidents to the management team.
  • To assist with spraying, fertiliser applications, and off-season indoor growing tasks as required.
  • To move agricultural equipment, irrigation equipment, produce, or other items with a tractor or trailer.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience driving large modern agricultural equipment.
  • A Full Clean UK Driving Licence.
  • PA1, PA2, and PA4 licenses desirable.
  • A good level of spoken English is not essential but desirable.
  • Forklift/Telehandler certificates not essential but desirable.
  • Able to be flexible with working hours based on season.

Salary and Benefits
