About the Role

This corporate bank is seeking a highly skilled Acquisition Finance Legal Counsel to join its EMEA Execution team in London.

The successful candidate will support the Origination business on a broad range of work, including reviewing and negotiating loan documentation, advising on legal, structural, commercial, and execution risk issues, and providing expertise on Leveraged Finance, Infrastructure financings, IPO financings, Fund financings, CLO Warehouse financings, Private Equity Fund LP investments, and other bespoke and structured financings.

The ideal candidate will have trained and qualified at a top City law firm, have circa 2-4 years' PQE, and be looking for their first In-House role or have trained at a bank and be looking to move to a commercial role with a leader in the corporate banking industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and negotiate loan documentation, including loan agreements, security agreements, and intercreditor agreements.
  • Advise the business on legal, structural, commercial, and execution risk issues.
  • Provide expertise on Leveraged Finance, Infrastructure financings, IPO financings, Fund financings, CLO Warehouse financings, Private Equity Fund LP investments, and other bespoke and structured financings.

Requirements:

  • Qualified lawyer with circa 2-4 years' PQE.
  • Experience in Acquisition Finance, Leveraged Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of loan documentation, including loan agreements, security agreements, and intercreditor agreements.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
