Job Title: Saving Wildcats Data Volunteer

We are seeking an experienced data volunteer to join our team at Highland Wildlife Park in Kincraig, Scotland.

In this full-time role, you will be responsible for assisting our ex-situ conservation team with daily behavior monitoring via CCTV and data recording from enclosures in our Conservation Breeding for Release Centre (CBRC).

You will work closely with our experienced wildcat keeper team, managing data and performing additional duties to support the keeper team.

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain direct practical experience of CCTV use, species-specific behaviour monitoring, data handling and recording, as well as an insight into the design and management of a dedicated conservation breeding for release centre.

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 per annum, local accommodation, discounted lunch at the on-site café, and expenses of up to £50 per week.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A career in ex-situ conservation or zoo animal management
  • Confidence in handling large datasets, working in Excel and meticulous attention to detail
