Job SummaryThis is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to lead our mechanical engineering team, overseeing the design, development and implementation of mechanical systems for complex construction projects.
Main Responsibilities- Project Management: Oversee mechanical engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring they meet client expectations, budgets and timelines.
- Team Leadership: Manage and lead the small mechanical engineering team and collaborate with clients, contractors and relevant stakeholders to define project requirements.
- Design Review: Review and approve detailed designs, drawings and specifications, maintaining quality and accuracy across projects.
- Technical Oversight: Conduct technical reviews, audits and site inspections, ensuring systems are installed according to design specifications and perform as intended.
- Commissioning: Oversee the testing, commissioning and handover processes, ensuring a smooth transition from construction to operational phases.
- Quality Control: Implement quality control processes for all mechanical designs, ensuring adherence to local and international codes, standards and best practices.
- Customer Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding mechanical engineering aspects of projects, providing updates, addressing concerns and offering expert advice.
About You
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Significant years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing Healthcare, Leisure or Education projects.
What We Offer
Competitive salary estimated at £80,000 per annum. The successful candidate will be working for LJB Recruit, based in Croydon, London.
