Location: Stevenage (4-5 days onsite)

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to utilise your skills in systems engineering to design and develop cutting-edge defence solutions for the UK Armed Forces and partner nations.

You will be part of our clients' Systems Design Emerging Portfolio & Capability function, working on projects that focus on the front end of the product life cycle, designing Complex Weapons capabilities in response to advanced threats in all domains.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver systems engineering expertise to projects, engaging stakeholders and coordinating technology specialists
  • Develop advanced systems engineering techniques and conduct concept assessment and design trade studies
  • Design system architecture and functional modelling, assessing performance and behaviour analysis
  • Conduct verification, validation and certification processes using model-based engineering techniques
  • Utilise MATLAB and Simulink, as well as DOORS / Rhapsody and other relevant tools

About You:

  • Strong understanding of MATLAB and Simulink, with experience in requirements and use case analysis
  • Ability to work on complex projects, leading individual work packages or embedded in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Familiarity with air platforms such as Typhoon and F35, with knowledge of MIL-STD1760/1553 and Avionics
  • Some understanding of electronics, firmware, and software development
