The Role

We're seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Local Lead in Cardiff. As a Local Lead, you will be responsible for building and growing our local community in Cardiff, working closely with our regional concerts and marketing teams to evolve the city's music scene.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and promote Sofar shows in Cardiff, ensuring a high-quality experience for artists, hosts, crew, and audience members.
  • Build relationships with local artists, venues, and organizations to support the development of the local music scene.
  • Hire and manage a team of crew members to produce Sofar shows.
  • Promote shows to fill the room and build a loyal audience.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with local organizations that share our values of supporting diverse and inclusive grassroots communities.
  • Host community events, such as socials, networking events, and panels, to connect and support the local music community.
  • Manage local gear and event supplies inventory and attend additional shows as needed.
  • Take ownership of the city's growth and success, ensuring high-quality shows and a positive experience for all stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Passion for supporting artists and the local music community.
  • Strong connections to the local music scene and ability to build relationships with artists, venues, and organizations.
  • Natural connector with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work well under deadlines.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and be autonomous while remaining connected to the team.
  • Previous experience in producing live music events or creative curation is a plus.
